This is a vanity post; hope I did it correctly.

I'm having a problem with a pool builder here in Glen Mills PA (between Philadelphia and Wilmington DE). I'm looking for an attorney who has some experience with PA consumer law and pool contractors if possible.

Can anyone recommend someone good?

They have what is called a "Rock Partners" clause in the contract, which stipulates that if they can't complete excavation on day 1, they will continue for 2 days at no cost. My problem is that they spent a good deal of the 2 days on activities unrelated to excavation but included that time in the 2 days. The other activities they did, were not required to complete the excavation, and had to be done anyway (and I am paying for them as part of the overall contract). They owe me a half day more of excavating, but they say they are done and now want $3200/day to finish the digging (about 3 feet left to do).

If that's only a half day worth, small claims court might be the place to go.

Lawyers are only good for two things: good for ---- and good for nothing.

I would start by sending a certified letter detailing same to him, allowing him so much time to contact you and so much time to correct the problem. Also at the bottom, prominently note that your attrney has been copied. Ive found this usually does the trick. If it goes forward, contact the attorney and have him call them. If it continues unresolved - take them to small claims court (usually a $40 filing fee) -Some local news stations have a reporter dedicated to this nonsense too - the perp probably would not appreciate having his name splattered around

Have you paid him yet?

Undertsand this all my opinion and is in total worth about 2 cents
