Wow MBY. I really like that post. I will have to say that it was true for me. My grandparents were definitely the influence for all good in my life.
And as I read the article, I thought back on the days after Grama's funeral. The middle granddaughter is 5. She spent a really large amount of time in my lap (scuse me *HUGH SMILE*) discussing where Grama was. Eventually, in Abby's words, Grama was not in that box in the ground, it was sort of like a mirror of a reflection of her in the sky.
Okay, so I didn't totally comprehend her ramblings about reflections in the sky from a Biblical perspective. But, it was so hopeful and peaceful for her that it was just totally cool that she could talk about it that way.
And in the midst of it all she said she really hoped that she was going to have a reflection in the sky someday too. I told her she could and talked about salvation and she said the prayer. :-) Right there in my lap in Grama's bedroom where I'd sat in Grama's lap through my childhood.
And I haven't told too many people that because lots of folks think 5 is just way too young. But, hey, she wanted assurance and that's what our Jesus is for.
