Happy Birthday Marines and g'nad.

The local radio station had the Marines at the top of their birthday list today and were playing their song.

(ask W about Casanova Corey, and what did happen in the back seat of that Impala Friday night????)

Ok, nobody is biting, which is a lot like the fishing was on Saturday morning.

It's not really his birthday, but because it's the Corps birthday, it's his birthday too...his real birthday is April 1st. So, he gets two each year...doesn't seem quite fair does it? :-)

Hello everyone!!

I'm back from Alpharetta, Georgia and am, once again, safe in my cube here in Miami. Whew! And to think I have to go AGAIN the first week of December!

Sorry I've been gone for so long, but I cannot begin to tell you how crazy my life is right now.

What's the deal on Entmoot? What's left to pay? :-)

Glad to hear the two of you had fun!

Wn, your absence from the thread showed... Saturday was the slowest posting day ever on this thread (68 posts) and together with Sunday made for the slowest two days ever (151 posts)!

a quick rundown of the weekend.

I'll let Wneighbor fill in any details, but here's the gist of it.

I met her about 4pm on Friday at the Walmart. We hopped in my truck and went and picked up my son and his friend from their swim practice. My son's friend Corey, if he were a cartoon character (and he just might), he would be Pepe Lepew. He never met a woman he didn't harrass. As soon as he meets W he's making passes at her. He came back with us to the house 'cause he and D (my son) had a big swim meet early on Saturday morning in Corpus, and he spent the night with us.

My son left for band at 6 pm, then the rest of us, me and my husband in the front seat, and W and Corey in the back seat, headed to the football game. (W has the pics of halftime. I did really terrible in the parent march thing.) The whole way to the football game, and all evening, Corey was sorta making passes at W, and I was rolling on the floor laughing. This kid is 17 yrs! LOL. (He is really a sweet kid, son of the Baptist preacher, and a good boy. but loves to flex his pecks for any gal who can't run faster.)

We won the game, and that put us in the playoffs. yeah!

Went home and watched TTT, talked, ate something, talked and talked, then went to bed.

Got up and went fishing. I caught a 2lb sheephead, W caught some too small reds and trout.

Went to the swim moot. That first pic is at the swim meet next day. Corey told W he was going to win his first heat for her, and he did! Won it by 3 or 4 strokes. I am still laughing. Watched swim moot for a while (my son lost his first fly event to a false start by another school. He was out in front real well, but didn't hear the false start and kept going till the judge tapped him on the other side. By then he had spent too much to beat 'em. I do think he would have had that event if not for that. He was very disappointed. I have a pic of that I'll post later too.) :(

Went to lunch, after the swimm meet, then drove out to North Padre Island. Played truck-spins in the sand, but it was raining and the sand was kinda hard packed. Took shark mouth pics. (W was trying to appear as a dead body between the teeth.)

Went back home and went fishing but not catching. Fun though.

Sunday morning went fishing and fished till about 4pm. I caught a redfish. (W, correct me if I'm mixing this up.) Then my husband G caught a bigger one. W got a bigger one on, but it got off. Had a lot of blow-ups, but no more keeper fish caught. She had a whole school of needlefish taking her bait and playing with her line and jumping out of the water all around it. It was funny cause they never did bother mine, just hers ??.

Went home and grilled the redfish on a halfshell, and some yellow and red peppers, and some yellow and zucchini squash, and purple onion. W got a pic of all that but I didn't. She'll post her pics when she can.

Digested for a half hour.

Went fishing again till about midnight. Caught a lot of sand trout, but threw them back (even though they make a delicious pan fry), cause we had forgotten the cooler was in the kitchen still.

Got home and talked some more, then went to bed.

The whole weekend was a great one! She is such a beautiful woman. She starts to grow on you real fast, and we all warmed up to each other right away.

We want to keep her.

Enjoyed Revolutions a lot here... in fact, plan on going to see it again. Of course, I'm one of the weirdos who liked Reloaded.

The ending was more like an ancient heroic story than a modern one, which I found actually rather refreshing.

I think they still have a lot of story to tell in the Matrix universe... if they do any future movies, I think it likely Sati will be the focus.
