Not sure about Colorado, but in most States it ain't up to the victim whether it goes to trial or not. Kobe can't buy his way out at this point.

Is there a particular reason that I, as one who knows neither Bryant nor what's-her-name, should care?

I am waiting for more SPEFIC information.
Seriesly, I don't give a crap. I think I'll go have some lunch now.

Kobe will likely be convicted.

I think he's going to do time. Even if he pleads to a lesser charge. And it's already hurt his career off the court. The real guess is when the bride breaks bad on him.

I think I'd rather wait to specutlate until we see a bit more, like actual evidence.

I'll leave it to the trial where rumor doesn't count.

If Kobie works it out so that he only attends jail during the off-season, the lakers will be fine. But if he gets some mean old judge who makes kobie attend jail 24/7, then the will throw their hands up in the air and roll their eyes.

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk but, who cares? This country is already overly-obsessed with grown men playing a game. As if that isn't bad enough, now we have to deal with Kobe 24/7 on every news outlet for the next year for the criminal trial and at least four months after that for the lawsuit. To make things even worse, all these media events do is make celebrities out of the lowest form of life in the United States....lawyers!

Without a doubt he will be convicted, They had less evidence on Mike Tyson than they do on Kobie, and what is this i hear about him making an appearance at the "teen-choice awards" Isn't he being accused of raping a teenager? Are todays brainwashed youth going to stand up, yell, and scream for this man? It would be sicking to see.
