I will bet anyone a $1000 to a hole-in-a-donut, that just as soon as a Cat4 storm with the fake 'African' name "Aayisha" slams into the Texas coast and wipes out Ms Lee's 18th District, she'll be marching to the House floor to denounce the NOAA for its racist policies of "Creating and Aiming" Black-named storms towards predominately Black districts???
I can hardly wait!

I apologize for replying to my own post, and posting yet a third thread about this, but I faithfully had tried to find a thread on this using SEARCH, but when the titles are as innocuous as "Have you heard this one?" it doesn't give one much of a clue.
So I decided to at least title one thread people can easily find.

I agree. Hurricanes need black names, such as "Sheila," "Maxine," "Carol," "Jesse," "Alfred," "Charles," and "Martin."

"Wanda" is hardly a 'white name'...especially if you prep it with a 'Lu'....

Well, they aren't "white" names as much as they are English names, which is the language spoken here. Most American blacks bear English names too, for that matter. But a large proportion of "English" names are actually taken from Hebrew, not Anglo Saxon, so things are not quite what they seem, if Ms Lee could look a little below the surface.
