Funnily enough, I came across that weblog the other week when I was looking for something else. It looks very professional.

Only question I have. Are they going to do anything to the General Lee to make it PC? If it's touched I won't watch. That was the real star of the show for me

Are they going to do anything to the General Lee to make it PC? Yeah, they're gonna re-name it the "Spike Lee" and have a big old (Malcolm) X on the roof. LOL

I don't know who this Paul Walker fellow is so I can't say anything about him but my concern wouldn't be over Britney Spears playing Daisy as much as that idiot Ashton Kutcher playing anybody in anything. He can't even stand on his own in "That 70s Show". Fez has to carry him through every episode.

Who will play Cooter, Roscoe and Uncle Jesse?
I nominate Vince Vaughn, Billy Bob Thorton and Wilford Brimley

Quater Oat man might be ok, but Denver Pyle was an original. I recently watched one of the first "Andy" episodes where Pyle plays a hillbilly whose daughter falls for Andy. He was truly a classic! Two of my all time favorites together in a funny episode.
I guess it's really hard to replace the originals; Hulk, Angels, and many other movies have been copied, but we hold fast for the originals.

While on the subject of old(er) TV shows, I'm looking for information about an episode of the show McCloud...Dennis Weaver, the horse riding cop in New York, originally from New Mexico...

I believe that was the name of the Movie. If memory serves, most of the other characters were also in it, although like I said, not a comedy. Yep. Moonrunners
The cast had a Sheriff Roscoe Coltrane, and Uncle Jesse, a Cooter, the balladeer was played by Waylon Jennings, etc.
Saw that movie not too long ago. It was based on the real life experiences of Jerry Rushing (who appears in the movie, and made a cameo or two on the Dukes of Hazzard show_
BTW, I think Britney would be fine as Daisy.
I think she would be terrible. NO ONE can fill the shoes of the original.

The only Daisy Duke is Catherine Bach. Period. Agreed!
