The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that a script for a big-screen version of "The Dukes of Hazzard" is in the works, with Ashton Kutcher and Paul Walker both interested in the lead roles of the fast-driving cousins.
Anthony Anderson ("Barbershop") will star as Boss Hog. The CBS TV series ran from 1979-85.
And here's a kicker: The trade also reports that Britney Spears may be interested in playing the role of Daisy Duke.

They may go for a more politically correct decor on the General, knowing Hollywood.
I have a nice pic of Cameron with dark hair and tight jeans. You have to imagine them as cut-offs. I'll post it if anyone wants to see it for "research purposes"...

I don't know why, but apparently SOMEONE at Warner Brothers is in love with Ashton Kutcher, because they're literally THROWING all their best roles at him. They want him to play Superman, Batman, and if this is a WB production, one of the Dukes as well. It's nuts. Just be thankful that hollyweird's love affair with Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Matthew Lillard is over. Otherwise, they'd be Bo and Luke.

Now wait a minute. I happen to think Britney might make a fine little Daisy Duke.

I think ya'll might be forgetting. It's not like Catherine Bach, Jon Schneider and Tom Wopatt were Shakespearean Actors or anything. As a matter of fact, as far as acting goes, well..... well, Catherine sure looked good in them shorts.
(John Lennon voice here...) All I am saying...... is give Britney a chance.

Does anyone know that there was a Dukes of Hazard movie before the series?
The interestig thing is it was not a comedy and there was a sheriff named Roscoe Coltrane. I saw it so long ago that I can't remember much more.

Gross...I was hoping that Brittany Murphy would play Daisy Duke. You and me both --though Murphy might not have the right curves for Daisy Duke. She is a slip of a girl.

You are correct, sir.
There can be only one.
To: stainlessbanner
I believe that was the name of the Movie. If memory serves, most of the other characters were also in it, although like I said, not a comedy.
BTW, I think Britney would be fine as Daisy.

Hiya, long time no see, Shaz! I'd forgotten what your screen name was here.
That site is still floating around in cyberspace but it is more or less derelict now!
