Unfortunately, if you want your voice to be heard, reviews on Amazon isnt the place to do it. Write your own book. I have shopped Amazon for years, I cant remember a single time someone elses review swayed my decision on 'to buy or not to buy'. Any half-way intelligent person knows, an item can receive very conflicting reviews, therefore rendering them all useless.

You may be right about a site like amazon.com. Things are surely different, however, where powerful publications are concerned. Many people read the New York Times or National Review to be told what books to buy.

I understand that the author is already working on one.

I'm a librarian, and very much use the Amazon reviews to help me decide which books to select from our lists, especially when the "professional" reviews are extremely pro or con.
