Good points all.
Nathan's hangdog expression and cries of betrayal at the hand of Allison do have some truth in it, but Nathan is overlooking an important part. No one forced him to use the veto on Ally. She didn't hold a loaded gun to his head, or threaten his family. She flirted with him and promised him all sorts of things... He believed that she could be trusted and veto'd her. The fact that she is non-responsive to his concerns shows that Ally is self-centered, but also playing the game.Nate and Alison could have had a great alliance had they not played the game so emotionally. That seems to be a trend this year, playing with emotion rather than strategy and logic.
The three stooges are poor winners. The fact that they rub the others noses in their victories shows their maturity level.
Agreed. I really, really do want to like them, but every time I watch a strategy sesion between those three, it sickens me. I really, really, really want Jack or Erika to win HoH tonight.

Tonight, a big episode of Big Brother airs live on CBS. As you know, Jack and Nathan are in the hot seat for eviction tonight. For the first time this season, voting will take place live. As a result, Nathan's campaigning has been turned up several notches in the last few days.
I can honestly say that this week, the voting can really go either way. The "3 stooges" alliance holds the mathematical power currently, and they have been waffling betwen which of the two nominees they will vote to evict.
There are also several rumors floating around that tonight's Head of Household might be an endurance competition, meaning that you will not know the results when the show signs off. If that is the case, check in here a few hours after the show, as I'll post a white-text spoiler about the competition immediately upon conclusion.
It seems like I say this every week, but the HoH competition tonight will be vital in determining the course of the rest of the game. It is my personal hope that Jack will survive the vote tonight, and that either he or Erika deliver me a birthday present in the form of an HoH win, thereby putting a huge dent in the "Three Stooges" alliance.
Enjoy!

After watching everyone, including Erika, cave to the Stooge Alliance in the "corridors" game last night, I don't think there's any alliance left between the original eight.
At this point, the game looks like a shoe-in for the Stooges, but when will they start to eat their own?
With an endurance test for HOH tonight, a woman might well win it. Girls are better at that then men, generally. But Erika, Jun, and Ally are so afraid of the Stooges at this point, they may kiss up to them and nominate another of the original eight. This is getting really nasty. The original alliance of eight was probably a bad idea to begin with...too many people on that team. I think smaller alliances have a better chance.
Actually, I like Jack but I'm not impressed with him at all. I think he's a poor strategist. He shouldn't have been surprised when things started going awry for the original eight and should not, for his own good, have stuck with the original strategy when the alliance started coming apart. He's sincere but not even slightly wily. If he's one of the FBI's finest, we're all in big trouble.

Is there any news on who won the HOH contest, or are they still in the cages.

I tried to stay up to watch the conclusion of the HoH cage competition, but was not successful. Fortunately, there were plenty of sites monitering in rel-time so the winner is revealed below in white text.
Erika outlasted the rest of the houseguests and won Head of Household. Alison finished in second.

I wasn't home last night, and forgot to tape it.
I take it Jack was not evicted, and Nathan was?
To: jmc813
Fantastic! Now, the winner needs to put up 2 of the stooges...
I couldn't have wished for anything better unless Jack won!
To: Peace4EarthNow
Nathan was evicted 5 to 0.
To: jmc813
I went to the Jokers site this morning to find out who won, but unfortuneatly also read something I didn't want to know about.
Apparently Jack (my favorite until today) and Erika were talking about the "Right-wing media, the farce of an impeachment, and what wonderful parents the Clintons are compared to the "Drunk Twins" parents.
Just another case of knowing to much. I can't look at Jack the same way again. I really didn't ever think of him as a conservative or otherwise, just wish he wouldn't have opened his mouth.
To: codercpc
Awww!!! Jack said that?
He USED to be my favorite, and I was really pulling for him or Erica, but NOT ANYMORE!
To: codercpc
Is Joker's reliable? Have they misrepresented other conversations throughout the course of the telecast.
Let's not abandon Jack until we know whether this is true or not.

Keep in mind these are open forums, and bad information has been posted in the past. FWIW, I was looking over the Bomis Clubhouse Updates (similar to Joker's), and there was no mention of suuch a conversation. There was, though, an interesting conversation between Erika and Jack about the Kennedy assasination and information Jack found out about it as an FBI agent.

Say it ain't so Jack!
To: codercpc
Well, the rub seems to be do I allow a guy's politics to get in the way of my rooting for him.
My answer would be no. I like Jack. I still hope he wins.

I tend to agree with you, but everytime I like somebody, and then find out I totally disagree with their political positions, (I loved the Dixie Chicks, until they opened their mouths, now I turn the station when they are on), I look at them in a whole new way. I can't help it.
Let's hope that doesn't happen with Jack, let's hope that I can continue to watch the show and be engrossed with the dynamics of the house guests without this entering my mind, but I doubt it.
I know many disagree, but I like Jee, and I can know root for him without having to worry about cross alliances:)
