My book club had the Queen Noor book slated for the next reading and though reluctant, I did my duty and read it. Though incredibly dull, I was none the less shocked at the anti-semitic/anti-American tone of the book. I garnered no interesting insight into Noor, her husband or family except that they hate all things Jewish and sneer ant most things American. I did not see much coverage of her "book rounds" and wonder what if any was the fallout? She is certainly entitled to her opinion and views, but was she challenged at all?

As for the rest of the book, zzzzzzzzzz. What a self-serving attempt to raise her husband to sainthood. Looking for others who have read it to discuss!

I have not read it (and your review did not exactly push it any higher on my to-read list), but I've drawn the same conclusions just by listening to her on Larry King. Larry would just toss one of his famous softballs up there, and she'd always find a way to glorify her husband in every answer. I'd like to see her in a less biased interview where she is asked tough questions about her husband, his allegiances, etc. But since Larry will have her on anytime she wants, she probably doesn't see any need to go outside her comfort zone.

How dull are you?

[Sorry, but your modifer is dangling in a particularly amusing way.]

No surprise really. Arabs hate Americans and Jews. They always have.

Her entire premise is that ALL the trouble in the middle east is the cause of the zionists.
