While considering Two Thirds rant, I was reminded of this morning's Federalist homage to Sam Adams.
Two Thirds, I think you'll appreciate Adam's thoughts:
"Liberty will not long survive the total extinction of morals." "As long as the people are virturous they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtues they will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first internal or external ivader.... If virtue and knowledge are diffused among the people, they will never be enslaved. This will be their great security."
