Miami is headed for the ACC.
"It has been a bizarre, strange and goofy process," Miami president Donna Shalala said yesterday. "But it has allowed us the opportunity to have the distance to decide who we are, where we are and where we want to go."

Let a Klinton tainted Donna Shalala take over as head of your university and you expect to be wallowing in the scum. Then again, she fits in well with the University of Miami culture.

I know ND is going to get invited, but as long as ND can maintain an NBC deal, still book great competition each year (this year we have Florida State, USC, Michigan) and recruit, there is no reason for ND to join any conference.

HA!!!
How in the world did Shalala happen to land that job!!??!!
Just ask any faithful University of Wisconsin Badger football fan about this bag & her tenure at the UW, Big Guy.
I'm seriously trying to figure out just how did this battle axe get the head Miami job.
Did anyone -- anybody whatsoever -- bother to look at Shalala's track record BEFORE she was ever even considered a legit candidate??
The only way her entire career path makes any sense a'tall to me, is when I put on my tinfoil hat.
I swear.
When one pauses to consider people like Donna Shalala are behind the scenes, calling the shots??
So very much of the weirdness we're witnessing -- academically, socially or otherwise -- starts making a lot more sense.
BTW b'o_f??
CONGRATS ON YOUR RECENT RETIREMENT!!!!
