Vanity: Can any treadheads recommend a good Armour sim

I'm looking for a recommendation for a good modern era armour/tank simulation game. I'm looking for realism in a non-WW2, modern era AI model.

Any treadheads got a good recommendation?

SAM I know you like the WW2 PE but thought I'd ping just in case. :)

BattleField 1942 with the new Desert Combat mod bro...hrm I'll come back to this (need to go pick up my new Car Plates) and post some links

If your into modern realisim then what I have heard that game is really good. But if your into Massive combat, both on foot, in the air, or in a vehicle, I am having a Blast with Planetside (but it's Sci-fi)

Panzer Elite

The best WWII Tank sim out there. It's old (came out in 1999, but it's never been beat, IMHO)

The Modders keep it going.

OSTPak

Monty Vs Rommel and Torch Pack

Thanks. I've heard it's very good. I'll consider this, but will prefer an M1-A1/A2 and/or M2 sim.

Unfortunately, Tank sims just doesn't have a big market and there aren't many out there.

I remember M-1 Tank Platoon and M1 Tank Platoon 2 by Microprose. They were good for their day although M1TP2 was a disappointment for the wait everyone went through before it hit the stores.

I downloaded the Steel Beasts demo. I'd rate it competent but lame. I'll take a look at your WW2 sim

That was my assessment of it too. It has it's good points but just not enough there to keep my interest.

I did hear they were working on a Steel Beats 2 that was supposed to have the latest graphics. Don't know if they ever went ahead with it though
