The point is not the federal gov. drug bill, the point is
that Limbaugh says that everyone can buy their own drugs.
Go meet some older folks, see how they live.

Rush has said in the past that drug benefits should be means tested. By his logic you would get your drugs at my expense. The proposed plan has me paying for Rush's drugs too. Is that what you want?

A cell phone is a luxury, I don't have one--I use phone booths. Medicine is a need.

That dopey old broad has her priorities wrong...

I pay for mine but there are lots of hard working people that can't afford the $300 a month I have to pay.

Well good. I'm glad you and your kids (assuming you have any) won't mind paying for Rush Limbaugh's drugs when he turns 65.

Personally, I'm having enough trouble just supporting my oown family. I'd much rather Limbaugh buy his own drugs when he comes of age.

everyone can afford their own drugs.

I am old enough to think that everyone can afford his own drugs.

But then I am young enough to afford my own drugs.

Go meet some older folks, see how they live.

If they have cell phones, they live better than me.

Get the greedy geezers out of my pocket and I might be able to afford my own cell phone and health care.

I'm one of those hard-working people you're talking about. I have my own family's drug needs to contend with, and you want me to have to buy other people's drugs, too? Just what is fair about that?

Did you hear Rush say that everybody can afford their own drugs? No, you didn't. Because he never said they could. I didn't hear him today, but I heard him talk on this subject last week. He said there are people who couldn't afford their own drugs. He also said, however, that the proposed prescription drug benefit would pay for the drugs of people like YOU, who can afford to buy your own drugs.

She said he husband had one also. Getting rid of two cell phone bills would pay for a lot of drugs.

The issue is not whether you can pay or not. The issue is whether it is legal (Constitutionally) and right to take money from some to give to others. I contend it is not. Welfare, subsidies, bail-outs, etc are all un-Constitutional, illegal, and immoral.

Sadly, there are those that have either learned, or been trained, to vote themselves benefits, extracted from the taxpayer, like there was no tomorrow.

Senior Citizens are the wealthiest members of society.

To rob from, lets say a family of four, with a stay at home mother, and the dad making $50K per year, to pay for the medicines of others is immoral.

Now that the Feds are going to be chipping in to pay for meds, the prices will skyrocket, because no one cares about the cost of an item if someone else is paying for it.

"Taxes for social programs are not that. They are theft."

Back in the day in old England they had a fellow who, with the help of his merry men, would take money from one man to give to another. Although it seemed a noble gesture, it was still considered stealing!

Today in America, we have the same thing, but we call it Congress.

If they have cell phones, they live better than me.

All this crap about people who can't afford food, drugs, etc. REALLY FRY me!! I know there are some that can't, BUT... I've seen people using food stamps that have a better car than me!! I have NO cell phone, NO cable TV, NO cable modem, NO new car, and I buy stuff on sale! I could have this stuff if I wanted to, but my wife and I choose to save our money so we will be to have and do what we want when we retire and won't be dependent on anyone.

When I see people get stuff that I have to pay for when I'm making myself do without, that just BURNS MY BRITCHES!!

A family of four making 50 grand is not paying a heavy
load of taxes.

As compared to whom? I think the family might disagree with you.

Learn to read??? So now I'm uneducated? You still resorted to a STEREOTYPE.

That's secondary however to the fact that you would rather burden children and grandchildren with the cost of an attrocious government health care monopoly where eventually you won't even meet their criteria for getting the drug in the freaking first place because you won't be on your death bed waiting 12 months to get in to see a DR.
