The Christian church is not a theocratic nation (Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world; otherwise, my servants would fight"), but Christians ideally should live within national boundaries to seek the well-being of that nation. Sometimes, they may be called upon to defend that nation's existence (or that of another vulnerable nation) against an aggressor's attack. Contrary to what many believe, Jesus' words about "turning the other cheek" after someone hits you on the right cheek are dealing with personal insults, not with acts of violence or force. Rather, Jesus said, "When insulted, be willing to take another insult." Assuming that persons in Jesus' time were generally right-handed, a hit on the right cheek is a back-handed slap, which even today in the Middle East expresses a gross insult. This idea of a slap as an insult is seen in Lamentations 3:30: "Let him give his cheek to the smiter and be filled with insults." This slap would be roughly equivalent to spitting in someone's face in our society.

Jesus is not saying, "Don't defend yourself when you are attacked" or "Don't help a woman who is being raped" or "Don't defend your country when it is being attacked." He is not negating the judicial principle of an "eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth"; he speaks against the abuse of that judicial principle to justify personal retaliation or vengeance.

In the end you DO NOT ALLOW an evil dictator to continue killing. Saddam should have been stopped many years ago. We literrally could have saved hundreds of thousands if not millions of lives!

I want you to count how many times Christ has said to kill anyone.

I want you to tell me where Jesus said we should let dictators MURDER people. I want you to tell me where He said to leave them to their wickedness. After you come to your senses, I want you to tell me how we remove somebody with a million man army without using force.

Jesus allows us to have common sense. We have a Christian and moral obligation to go to war to stop murder if we cannot do it any other way. We have a moral obligation to defend our nation. We have a moral obligation to stick our noses in others business and ensure that men, women and children have the human rights that GOD HAS GIVEN THEM!

There is no Old Testament and New Testament. There is a Bible which was written by 40 authors and 66 books. It is to be taken as a whole. Your point of view lends itself to throwing out the Ten Commandments. After all, it is Old Testament. Jesus said "Love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself." (paraphrase) Does that mean that adultery is okay as long as you love God and your neighbor? I hope you say no. Jesus fullfilled the law...He did not change it.

And be careful electing yourself as the one , who decides who , who deserves vengence..

I did not elect myself to determine who deserves vengeance! God elected me and you and everyone else to protect the innocent, defend out beliefs and our nation, and to try and bring a Godly peace to the planet. Now, you and I both know what the end result of everything is...right there in the book, but that doesn't mean that we go sunbathe until God decides to come down here and do a little ass whipping of His own. Open your eyes, your ears, and your brain.

If it wasn't for the fact that Iraq DID NOT attack us and has never been tied to Al Queda and the sanctions "We" put on Iraq only made the innocent suffer , especially when "We" blew up their access to medicine , oh no , that's right Bin Laden was hiding there excuse me and the fact that , that country NEVER posed a threat to us , I might agree with some of the things you said.

WE have killed innocent people in their own country , that makes US guilty of murder and WE are not too big to reap what WE sow.

WE cannot arm saddistic tyrants and then steal the peoples resources in the name of Christ , because their dictator is a tyrant.

We have enemies , but they are a lot closer than Iraq.
