A letter from the editor about Kucinich in the SLC paper. (and a woman I work with today told me that Kucinich would make a fabulous president.) Oh yeah, he is the answer to all our problems. /sarcasm

Kucinich for Prez
If it were in your hands to stop war, eradicate terrorism, save the environment, improve education, provide adequate health care for all Americans, demand corporate responsibility, end unemployment and inject common sense into the drug war, would you make the effort?

When something sounds too good to be true, I may be the world's greatest skeptic. But after much reading and weighing of the facts, I believe it's fair to say that all the above, and more, is entirely possible, by supporting Dennis Kucinich in his bid for the presidency. Here is one candidate who appears willing and able to apply the light of reason to government policy. At this critical point in the history of life on Earth, I cannot think of a more important subject to become familiar with.

Kucinich ruined Cleveland when he was mayor. That is when he got the nickname of "Dennis the Menace." He served as Mayor from 1977 to 1979. He made a total mess of the city. It went bankrupt under Dennis's bold leadership.

George Voinovich ran against Dennis in 1979 and defeated Kucinich easily. Cleveland was a financial and social mess after Dennis served one term, He was literally driving industry out of Cleveland. Voinovich did a good job of cleaning up the mess. The feeling was anyone who could clean up the Kucincich mess, could work other miracles too.

Dennis had such a terrible reputation as a screw up he was out of politics until he ran for the State office in 1995 and then for House of Representatives in 1997.

I attended a few Dennis the Menace Press Conferences back in the late 70's. At that time the Ohio press corp's opinion of Dennis was that while Dennis may not be dumber than a sack of rocks, he would be wise not to bet his lunch money on it. Dennis is really very stupid. He is the poster child for the term "useful idiot".... with emphasis on the word IDIOT.
