Now I know why they call them oyster mushrooms...It's a subtle taste, but the do remind me of oysters.

Good morning, LBKQ.

Jane, an art show....sounds great.

Lots of neighborhood garage sales around here. I may check a few out.

I love to get up early, get a cup of coffee and head out to search for treasures at garage sales.

Me, too. I really should sort out my treasures before buying more, though. LOL

Rain has stopped. I am bummed that in our exhorbitant shopping trip to the grocery on Thursday evening, I didn't get any orange juice. Grrr. I found a package of Krispy Kreme doughnuts that had been purchased, though! (Remember, we are supposed to be losing weight.)

I am not in a charitable mood. All I wanted was some ORANGE JUICE, not all this fattening stuff! Grrr.

Also, we bought the ingredients to make a breakfast casserole that SOMEONE said he was going to make this morning, but SOMEONE was too tired to cook so I made breakfast, with NO ORANGE JUICE.

It is a good thing I am leaving for the art fair in a little while. Maybe I will stop and buy some ORANGE JUICE on my way home, so that tomorrow, when I no doubt have to make that darn casserole myself, I will at least have some!!!

Good Morning. There's another Community Celebration, this one in a town about 15 miles away. I am helping with the Republican float. All I have to do is wash the Tahoe and show up. Apparently, I'm the only member of the Central Committee with a decent vehicle w/a trailer hitch.

Oh well, I am happy to do my part.

I will be 15 minutes from a huge garden center when the Parade is over. Since I'll be close,,,, I think I'll sneak over there and pick up some more things.

I just hate to go to the store and forget one of the main reasons that I went in the first place.

I wouldn't have forgotten it if I had made the list! By the time we got to the orange juice, I was distracted by requests for Jumbo instead of Large eggs, expensive cuts of meat, etc. etc.

OK. I will be quiet. Going to go get in the shower in a minute anyway. That should make me wake up a bit.

Jumbo instead of Large eggs

Oh my goodness.....hubbys....they ARE alike. LOL

At times a local store has a great sale on medium eggs....19 cents a dozen.

Whoa!! Even though I say I will use twice as many, it's not good enough.

Do you think if we crack a few heads together it would help? LOL

Twins are doing well. They're eating and passing wind and pooping and just beginning to notice their surroundings....And not sleeping enough......All the normal stuff.
:)

Son and Dil have hired a nanny to spend two nights a week so they can get some sleep. Whenever I'm there during the day, Son always asks me if I brought my jammies. I just laugh.....If I did nights, no way could I do days. Besides, new parents are required to be tired, right?

Grandaughter (5 1/2 mos.) arrives this afternoon and will spend the night for the first time. Parents are going to a wedding. She is sleeping through the night, so they say....

So far the forecasters have NOT been right. No sun and raining.

At this rate, it will take a month of Sundays to dry up.
