Do not wrap them in plastic! Especially, in your part of the country, that will promote sweating and mold or mildew.

Photographs and paintings should be stored in a climate-controlled environment. Photographs should be wrapped in acid-free paper. Let me see if I can find you an on-line set of directions.

America – The Right Way!!
The Daily Update – June 13, 2003

REMEMBER THE TRADE CENTER!!

AMERICA’S WAR ON TERROR – Day 641

The news as reported in The Washington Times:

[Note – All links go to The Washington Times’ website.]

1. Allied forces in Iraq battled remaining Saddam loyalists and attacked a terrorist camp, killing 70.

[The longer the enemy keeps up this low-level resistance, the longer we have to stay, because the longer it will take to get things back to normal.]

Allies battle Saddam loyalists, terrorist camp

2. An Israeli attack kills a Hamas fugitive and six other people. Hamas vows a finish fight.

[Oh, goody.]

Israel kills Hamas fugitive, 6 others

3. Baghdad is trying to get back to normal, whatever “normal” really is.

[Patience. It took Saddam twenty or so years to screw up his country. It won’t get fixed in a hurry.]

Baghdad struggles to get back to normal

4. Most Republicans in the House and Senate are backing a new prescription drug benefit as part of a $400 thousand million overhaul of Medicare.

[It is NOT an “entitlement,” it IS WELFARE! Let’s be precise about terminology here.]

GOP embraces plan for drug entitlement

5. Observance of “Gay Pride Month” by Federal agencies is becoming rare under President Bush.

[OUTSTANDING!!!!!!]

'Gay pride' observance wanes in Bush era

6. House Republicans have passed a measure that would guarantee the $1,000-per-child tax credit would continue through at least the year 2010.

[That’s good news.]

House Republicans pass $1,000-per-child tax credit

7. A Washington, DC, superior court judge says red light cameras are Constitutional, and that their use to promote public safety outweighs any privacy concerns.

[What planet is she from? In her ruling, she made the comment that it was all right for the city to ticket the owner of a car that runs a red light, regardless of whether the owner was actually driving or not, because parking tickets are issued that way. What illogic. A parked car doesn’t contain any individual, while a moving car is operated by one. That is why running a red light is a MOVING violation. I hope the plaintiffs appeal. This is an abomination of a ruling.]

Judge OKs camera tickets

8. The People’s Republic of Maryland has passed a law that bans insurance companies from reducing rates for those who are good credit risks, while lowering rates for those who are poor credit risks—all of this the outcome of a law that now bans credit scoring for insurance policies.

[Yep – another brilliant move on the part of Maryland to whack the middle class.]

Maryland ban on credit scores raises home insurance

We shall not rest until we have cut a swath 60-miles wide through the entire left - taking all that is before us with us as we go. We shall leave nothing to the enemy that may be of value to him. We shall show him that he may count on nothing and will be able to keep nothing, not his spirit, not his soul, not that upon which he shall feed. We shall not cease until the moment we have rent through their entire land and have arrived at the sea, with our glorious victory upon us.

I agree with MM. Do not store your photos in plastic wrap.
