Pat Robertson on the 700 Club moments ago called Bush's Middle East policy Duplicitous and Hypocritical towards Israel.
Without the primary help Robertson gave Bush, McCain would be President.
Is Pat Robertson a Bush hater?

No. But there are some that disagree with the "Roadmap to Peace."

No, he isn't.
I'm not a big Robertson fan. He can say stupid things some times, but he's right about this.
To: Courier
No, he's a whore for the Red Chinese.

Is Pat Robertson a Bush hater? No, Robertson is a Christian and doesn't hate (I have never heard hate come from him). Though he is allowed to disagree with someone. I disagree with Bush. Hamas and Hezbollah are both terrorist organizations and need erradicated. Though the situation is less cut and dry as Al Qaeda so has to be handled more diplomatically. (much to my shagrin)

I don't watch the 700 Club that often, but I do agree that Bush is being very Hypocritical towards Israel.
The United States deals with terrorism buy destroying the terrorist who attack us, but Bush wants Israel to sit at the table with terrorist and talk peace.

Robertson is an ass, but I'm having big problems with the President selling out Israel. It's wrong to keep subtly condemning Israel for protecting itself. I'd be PO'ed if Sharon was telling America that we have to come to the table and talk with Osama Bin Laden's puppet and "use restraint" when an al Qaeda terrorist blows up a NYC bus.

Pat Robertson is PRO-Israel before he's pro-Bush or anybody else. He's been covering the turmoil and the terrorist assaults on Israel for years.

I don't know. Is Pat Robertson pro-life? He didn't sound like it when he excused China's one-child policy a couple years ago.

When Israel struck
against Hamas, the White House
was "deeply troubled."
Just a week before,
Hamas had announced that they
would continue strikes.
Did the White House, then,
announce that they were deeply
troubled by Hamas?!

Now, since the US
has military bases
in Afghanistan
and Persia, some feel
the US elites will throw
the Arabs two bones,
we'll remove our troops
from Arab soil, and we'll stop
"fronting" Israel.
I very much pray
these cynical views are wrong.
(But they appear true...)

Hmm, I didn't know the US had troops in Iran. It seems to me that we're moving even more troops onto Arab soil (Iraq). It also seems that this is beneficial to Israel, since one of the sources of funding for suicide bombers has been eliminated. Furthermore, fear has been instilled into Arab countries and the PA, potentially diminishing their threat to Israel.

Yeah, I got screwed up.
It was early, and somehow
I got my wires crossed --
I got to thinking
Iraq was "Persia." Sorry.
(However, with troops
in Iraq, we can
say we're pretty far away
from Mecca... Might help...)

Without the primary help Robertson gave Bush, McCain would be President. That's the dumbest bald assertion of the day.
Congratulations.

Pat robertson is an Attorney, Television personality and a businessman. He will do what ever it takes to make money under his tax exempt umbrella, he uses religion to do it.
I live near his Fortress, CBN/Regent University and hotel and conference center, though all nice, all are tax exempt as long as they are with in his fortress walls, which he has.
Remember the Diamond incident on his Flying Medical Hospital? Where is that now, it used to be based here in Norfolk, but haven't seen it since the scandal...
Pat will only do what serves Pat, and will say anything to get publicity.

Really? If Bush had lost the South Carolina primary, he would have been toast and McCain would be President.
Who helped him win?

To: Courier
(1) I do not believe that Bush would have been "toast" if he had narrowly lost the SC primary.
(2) John McCain did a lot to make himself lose the SC primary.
(3) Pat Robertson was only one of many Christian conservatives who endorsed Bush - local endorsements boosted the Bush campaign immensely.
(4) McCain could very well have lost the election to Al Gore even if he had been able to win the Republican nomination.
Therefore the bald assertion that "without Pat Robertson's support for Bush McCain would be president" is a ridiculous McCainiac pipedream and not some established fact that can just be stated as if it were a truism.
