Do you know anything of the history of the house you are living in? It seems a small child lived there who died as a small child. There could be others there with the child....who knows. It is spooky when one encounters such events. Others scoff - but my nephew will tell you - he heard the footsteps of the "ghost" coming down the steps (he was sleeping in a "basement" bed) - woke up, saw the entity's form staring at him - and shot out of that bed like a cannon. He refused to go back down and sleep in that bed - since then (and he has visited that house many times since). He has not been bothered when he has slept in other locales within that house.
Uh - you definitely have a spirit of some sort in your house which may or may not make you seek other help with your home situation.
Hopefully, whatever it is will not bother anyone.

It's a weird place. There were problems with the tub (An old cast iron one) and they had to get to the pipes and replace the floor in the bathroom. Beneath the floor is a room, about 5' high and 7' square. There is nothing at all there. The fireplace in the living room (all have been sealed off) has recently come open around the seal and we have a regular occurence of bird bones falling onto the floor.
I rent the place, the owner tried to get me to buy it (the whole building, top and bottom) but she wanted too much IMO (130k). It's a huge place but being so old needs lots of work. I try to always find the most rational reasons for things which occur, but some things give me the willies nonetheless.
The only thing weird I can say I have witnessed first hand was in the third grade. I was flipping through a reading book in class and saw an image of christ. I flipped back through the book trying to find it and never could. When I got home I learned my grandmother had passed away that morning in her sleep. Doctor said her heart just went out - sad to say poor grandpa found her there. She was always up before him and took care of him since he had lost his leg. He crawled to her bed and could not get her to wake up. They were good folk and I will always miss them both. I still use her silverware I got everyday :)

I do know some history of the house. Initially the home connected to ours and the house that we are currently living in (this is Chances wife) was built by two doctors who were brothers. We have a connecting door that leads into the house next door. It opens up into the stairway. They both praticed and lived in the homes. They were some of the first educated doctors in Circleville Ohio. The family lived in these homes for generations. The last of the family members died in the 70's. I think the small "room" that was found may be an underground railroad room. Circeville is in southern central Ohio and many slaves came into Ohio via the Ohio River. As far as the personal history of the family we dont really have any. I have often wondered if they had lost a child and/or children while living here. God Bless-
