Dixie Chicks cancel Toronto Show (Dixie Chicks chicken out)

The popular country trio yesterday became the latest celebrities to cancel a Toronto appearance because of concerns over SARS.

The Chicks postponed their sold-out June 12 show at the Air Canada Centre until Aug. 6. Ticket holders can use their ducats for the rescheduled show or turn them in for a full refund at point of purchase.

The show was put over because of "concerns about the risk of tour personnel facing quarantine as a result of Toronto's current SARS situation," Sony Music Canada said in a release.

I turn the dial everytime I hear a song by that group. It's only a matter of time before they fall. Getting booed by their country musician peers at the CMA show on national TV is not a good omen. The Nashville industry is known for closing the doors to people they don't cotton to. Serves 'em right.
