If I had children I would have one strict rule (well, I would have several strict rules). But one strict rule would be "no sugar!" People in general and children in particular are loading up on processed sugar and this is a very bad thing. You can avoid sugar and other unhealthy things if you are creative and want to work a little. I think a lot of behavior problems in children can be traced to the fact that they are all hyped-up on sugar and caffeine. This is bad for anyone but especially bad for children.
