I'm very difficult to offend as well when it comes to music like that;same for porn.

LOL I was always in the mood too when I was single but 2 kids kills the sex drive (for me anyway.) It takes me about a year to regain my sex drive after having a baby judging by my son and my 7mth old daughter. Hopefully it'll be back this time like it was last time atleast. Although, that's how the new one got here so maybe I should hope it doesn't come back! I can't have 3 toddlers at once.

Now that's very intertesting. I had a friend of mine who worked in pest control. He had done some work for Morris Day many years back and discovered the guy is the total opposite of his narcistic image he portrayed on the stage. It's all in the act. And you better believe it's all about money. It's all in the act.

He's definitely not for kids to listen too. That's why his CDs have the explicit lyrics label for over 18 only. Only very edited versions get to the radio. I use to let my 2yr old watch VH1 Hit Video channel but then they started showing Aguilera and he can't watch her yet.

My mom was offended my Tom Petty music. I(was never into rap) could play just about anything outside of clear F'bombs or GD(Live Nugent for example). Old Metallica - no problem. Megadeth. No Problem. AC/DC - No problem(and she doesn't know all the lyrics..good). Iron Maiden, Van Halen - No problem. Motley Crue - depends on the song.
Tom Petty however....she couldn's stand how he sang, and was awfly sick of "I Won't Back Down"

LOL...guess it's just the difference in some people....when I had two young kids it was even worse...only finding the time without kids for my moods was a challenge.

OK. I'm an idiot here. Who is Morris Day? I've heard the name, and the only reference I know of is from the Kid Rock song "Wasting Time" "I ain't got time for Morris Day".
Being a Wings fan, I love the "In it to win it like Yzerman reference"

I was listening to that kind of lyrics when I was younger than that. But that didn't make me promiscuous because my mother had educated me on sex education by the time I was seven. I already knew about the issues of sex and birth control because my mother explained to me what it was all about so it was no mystery to me. She gave me a better view of reality than of what sex education I would later be taught in the six grade!
It has everything to do with the parents educating their children. After all, you brought them into this world. Educate them now before the idiot teachers at school do cause those teachers at school have other ideas in mind; like introducing young minds to homosexualtity and passing out condoms which is nuts!
It is the parents responsibility to educate their children. If couples don't have the guts and patience to consider educating children they bring into this world then they shouldn't have any.

What is going on? I post an album cover one time and it's suddenly on this site more than "All your base are belong to us." Good music though. I still remember my dad saying, "How come I keep finding that album in your room?" "Love the music, Dad."
To: goldilucky
I totally agree, and in a perfect world, that would work...unfortunately, there are so many kids that do not have involved parents and therefor those lyrics do affect them...should we just not care about that??????

Morris Day was an R&b singer who was with the group Morris Day and The Time. He did some work with Prince back in the 1980's. Morris came out with his tune "Jungle Love" and "Ice Cream Castles" and finally went solo in 1986.

I'll admit it. Even as an adult, I'm still affected by Kid Rock lyrics. My boss and myself used "Goin' Plantnum" as our them song for our campaign work.
"Hey Dan, are you in it to win like Yzerman?" Other terms heard around the office were "Bring it", "Goin Plantnum", "Bastards at the IRS", etc.
