I have received an e-mail from a former co-worker, telling me that another former co-worker was hauled away in handcuffs by 'The Department Of Homeland Security'

She was held 5 days, then released. i am awaiting the report fro the PD on this.
What i was told from a co-worker, is that she was held 5 days for something relate to immigration, then it turned out her papers were correct, and she was released.
When she returned to work, she was told she was fired for not checking in!!
Not a joke. I wish i was her lawyer right now, and I hope she calls every paper on the planet and every television station.

Update:
SHE WAS NOT RELEASED HOME!! She is still being held in jail.
According to my source:
XXXXXX called me last night and told me that he spoke to Grace. He added that she is still incarcerated, but now in CT. and trying to find a lawyer. Ill ask him more about it this morning as I cant understand why she is still in jail after finding out it was all a mistake.
It appears it is an immigration issue, and Homeland Security falls under Immigration, but they did not sign in as Immigration, they signed in as Homeland Security!
Here is the response from the officer I filed the original report to:
There is no final police report. But I can assure you that everything checked out. Immigration now falls under the heading of Home Land Security, and in this case there was no wrong doing by any government offical/agency. Thank you for your concern on the subject.
So, From what I heard yesterday, she is not an illegal alien, but for some reason she is still being held!

...but the Stanley factory building IS being renovated and plans laid to use it as a "training facility for underprivelged teenagers in the New Britain area". The story also detailed that this training is specifically for "technical training to support Homeland Security"."
Isn't that where they're going to park all the UN trucks seen invading the US a few years ago? I also understand that they are going to install a worm hole to all the internment camps that the UN, et al have built here.....

I thought DHS only had 170,000 personnel. How could they have 800,000 police?
GWV, for your perusal. We are on the same side on this as i indicated to you in a post yesterday..

GWV, for your perusal. We are on the same side on this as i indicated to you in a post yesterday.. This is where our energies should have been spent over the last year and a half, as sort of a flanking attack or second front SEPERATE from the commies, instead of supporting those that are shredding the Constitution and putting our troops in harms way under false pretences.
Not 1 veto, CFR, The Patriot act, Homeland Security (kinda bizarre, we want smaller govt. and we get this monster) and enough lies to get us into Iraq until they kick us out. Yeah, we won the war but lost 11 more troops last week.
and so it goes....
Hey! Are you still on my side? (Hint, it'll put you opposed to 98% of those left here. Those that put partisan politics over ideology and logic, isn't that the definition of useful idiots.)

All your points are valid ones. I fear for our country wrt the "Patriot" Act. Not so much because of Ashcroft, but because if another Janet Reno gets in there w/ no internal constraint at all.
Point 2: I'm no Bush-bot.
Point 3: I still think the Iraq War was a good idea, but am taking a second (and third) look at the supposed "reasons" we went in.
Point 4: I think its fair to say that I am about opposed to about 98% of the folks here.
BTW, I think Rummy is a loose cannon. He needs to be reined in big time.

Actually, no I don't.
I don't see any means to independently verify what I am being asked to believe on faith.
That might be good enough for you. It is not for me.
