Gives a whole new meaning to "killer D's," doesn't it?

I didn't think it looked sold out. Maybe that's why the lights were down for this monumentous event. Didn't want the world to see.

Thanks for the great reports and pictures. I laughed at the comebacks of the feisty lady from Pflugerville and her son's sign. FReep On!

Am I the only one who thought Natalie looked like a man in drag?

Anyway, somebody said further up in the thread that scalpers were heavily discounting tickets by showtime, indicating a lack of general interest among the public, which is not a good sign for a heavily promoted top-tier country act that should be at the top of its popularity. So whether the seats were full or not, the Chicks are definitely feeling an economic pinch from their traitorous remarks on foreign soil.

got a pic of that shirt?
I'm proud of those that were there protesting! I love that they got booed at the ACM Awards!
To: beckett
Yeah, but the problem was I bet some of those selling their tickets were also like those freeping who didn't want to support them after when they said. But I bet they bought the tickets before that.

The Texas State Radio Network this morning played what CBS viewers didn't hear........all of the LOUD and OVERWHELMING BOOING when the Vichy Chicks were introduced, coming from the audience at the awards ceremony.

Some people would rather have class about the whole thing and move...others would rather be classified with MoveOn.org

I saw the balcony area or what ever it's called. I know people move to the floor once the concert is underway. To be honest, until last night I'd never heard a DC song. Not my genre. The reason I listen to the awards show is because the remarks of Wayne Newton and Reba. Reba hammered them every chance she got.
I did notice the differences between ACM awards and alot of the others. The attitude toward America is different and they are not afraid to say they are Americans first. The women were not dressed so sluttish. A totally different class of people.

I sure miss Texas, but I don't miss Austin...way to liberal for this West Texan. Same here... I lived there for 4 yrs....and couldn't head back to E. TX fast enuf.
About once a month, a little college gal would come to my door begging donations for Sierra Club's effort to "save the salamanders". I tried to be polite and say "no thanks" each time. She caught me in a bad mood one afternoon and I told her I'd give her a stinkin' bucket so she could save each and every one of the thousands that crawled all over my screens and decks. It was the last I saw of her. *chuckle*

I turned it off as soon as they announced the Dixie Chicks. What's Natalie's beef with Toby Keith?
To: hispanarepublicana
We were watching the show on TV - when they said they were going to the chicks, my hand went to the remote.
