You're right Swerv.. We have a complete book on everything on Al's side.. I have nothing but my father's discharge papers from the Army WW1 to go by, and they tell me very little. I always wished I had more info written down or on tape..

I have nothing but my father's discharge papers from the Army WW1 to go by, and they tell me very little. It is a lot easier today with so much material searchable by computer instead of spending literally years scanning old microfilm. You start by checking sensus records for wherever he was discharged. If you know your parents wedding aniversery, you can search for them nationwide. If you find the license that will tell you where and when they were born, then back to the census records.
