Grannie...we also have lots and lots of oysters out here, tho oysters are not among my favorite seafoods...

I used to love Abalone, when we visited with relatives out in California...my uncle and his boys would go out fishing, ,and come back with their days limit of abalone...you could hear my grandmother out in the kitchen, pounding them to tenderize them, and then she would deep fry them...yumyumyum....but like Lobsters, the waters got overfished, and now abalone, is sky high if you go to buy it, or order it in the restaurant....

And then there is Geoduck, a staple out here in the Pacific Northwest...I have never eaten it, because its scarey looking in the supermarket, and I refuse to mess with it...and I dont know anyone who has ever eaten it...

Val, or Westy, have you ever eaten Geoduck, and if so, ,how does it taste...it looks gruesome...

Oh darn.. I lived in Calif. for three years and never did get any Fried Abalone. I heard from all my family that it was soooo good. It was their favorite thing.. My niece still craves it so badly..

I have never heard of Geoduck.. I wonder what it is? I will have to look it up on google tomorrow.. ;)

Goodnight everyone.. See you tomorrow.. It's great talking to you all.. Seems like old times.. ;)

mmmmmmmmmmmm we used to go clamming and get those geoducks fresh. They are yummy! buttery flavored clams... it's been ages since I did that.
