I hope we do have a warmer and clearer summer than last year...some summers are great and others are just so-so....
But we really have not had what I would actually call a 'hot' summer for a few years now...and by hot, I mean lots of temps near 90....actually to me, anything over 80 is hot....when you are used to cool summers, anything over 80 does feel hot....
I can hardly believe I withstood the hot humid summers of North Carolina for 5 yrs...of course, ,there, our house had central air conditioning, the cars were air conditioned, the stores and all the malls were air conditioned...and we had full use of all the big pools down on Ft. Bragg, so we always managed to stay cool, one way or another...
Here, almost no one has air conditioning in their home, simply because its really expensive to have it, for the few times you might actually need it...when it gets too warm, I simply turn on the ceiling fan, and sit with my feet in a bucket of cold water(how unappealing)...

That's very true about the air Mom.. We don't have central air here either. I do have a few rooms with window units and that and the pool lets me survive it when it's really hot and humid.. Sometimes..;) I don't mind the heat as much in Fl..because everything is suited to it down there.
