Still sunny here, and my back is going on me..
Al had to dig a whole new garden because of Dyan giving him four tomato plants last night for his birthday. Now.. these are not just ordinary tomato plants.. Her neighbor Artie across the street got these seeds in Italy from his family home years and years ago. He keeps the seeds every year, and his backyard if filled with them. They are really very special, and I will have to know how he keeps his seeds, etc.
He puts them about a foot and a half apart and the stakes are 12 feet high. He has to use a ladder to get them at the end of the season.. He probably has eight rows wide and 15 to 20 deep. It's a sight to see around August, I'll tell you. We are going to have to baby these Babies.. ;)
Loddy, we had a great time last night. I never laughed any more in a restaurant in my life. We had a nice private table in a corner, with the big high back tropical chairs, and most of us had a wonderful thick Prime Rib, with mashed potatoes, and grilled mixed veggies.. Needless to say, we had enough to drink too. I am olived out.. lol.
Dyan's "friend" is very nice looking and has a terrific personality. We all meshed really well..and the "Maine" jokes were flowing between he and Al. Ghod, he told a really funny one, and I have to try and remember for you Loddy.... It was new to me and a pissa.. I'll see if Al remembers it.. There were just too many told, and by the time I heard this one I was on my last drink.. :(
I don't have to worry about Dan, he fits into this family like a glove..;)
