Today is my Birthday
One small Voice
Posted on 05/15/2003 9:30:00 AM PDT by 1smallVoice
Today is my birthday. Although I am trying not to think about it, it is difficult because 50 years ago today I was born. All my family is dead or MIA and I have no friends who care. My two kids will take me see the Matrix Reloaded this weekend.
Birthday's suck because you get to see just how unimportant you really are.

When I said my family is dead or MIA I meant the family I was born into, not the family I started.
My best and only friend did take me to lunch so I would have to say, Yes there is a God and He does care.

Robert Stack played Eliot Ness on the Untouchables, A Desilou production which was the company founded by Desi Arnez and Loucile Ball.

I'm teasing you . . . mostly. But they use their membership numbers to boost their clout. IOW, the more members they have, the more pressure they can bring to bear on Congress to get their way.

I agree with your assesment 100%. I tossed the app and the temp card they sent into the shredder the day I got it. :-)

Ok, first your having a bad day 5/12 & now your down on your birthday! Look at all the wonderful responses of support from well wishers. I can't imagine anyone having 64 people wish them Happy Birthday. Well add mine to it @ #65. Besides the Matrix is supposed to phenom! Happy Birthday 1smallvoice.

My fiftieth birthday didn't even net a movie. Enjoy your kids. How much better could it be?

Wow, I guess every mom needs zoloft. I personally recommend xanax though.. of course, it's not recommended for crying babies on long plane trips...

Birthday's suck because you get to see just how unimportant you really are.So once your birthday is over, you can feel important again?
Look, if your were really important people would try to kill you, kidnap your kids, steal your money, and slander you in the papers, and the FBI would bug your telephones and the IRS would be pounding on your door, and you would have 10 civil law suits pending against you.
Forget about being important. It's nothing but trouble. Stay simple, life is better that way.

Happy Birthday. Mine was May 12 ! I LOVE Birthdays I ask God for something every year. This year I asked Him to give me the grace and power to yield to His spirit only! It all depends if you want to be negative or positive. My prayer for you this birthday week is that God would give you eyes to see all His provision in your life and all blessings He bestows by people, places, and things. I am 47 years old and God has made it all worth it! Jesus, please bless my friend, first by having a great desire to know you. Send folks into his/her life to bless and encourage him/her. Lord show your love and peace to them is a special way. Bless the work of their hands and thoughts in his/her mind. Pour out your joy! In Jesus name amen!
