get going or you will be tempted to look at spoilers
To: mystery-ak
I just hope Clay wins.
I'm with you about Survivor. I wanted Matt to win soooo bad, not Miss Strip for Peanut Butter.

They shorted Clay's Raleigh visit, made it look like he had no crowds or enthusiasm

Thank you for pointing out that this is a show that families can watch and enjoy together. It would be interesting to know the demographics. I like the the producers get rid of those who do not disclose their previous questionable activities.

No offense to Rueben, but if he wins over Clay, I'm not watching this stupid show any more.

I imagine they are planning for every possibility.
These two are very popular, so they can't be disappointed. And they have distinct audiences, too. The younger people, especially, seem to think that Ruben is boring.
To: pbear8
Although my kids love it, and guess with me on who will go, they tease me about watching it too, hehe. But I wouldn't watch survivor, fear factor, et al with my kids. I wouldn't watch it at all, but I wouldn't be encouraging my kids to watch either.
To: Howlin
did YOU get to see Clay?
Hey, talk about grown women waiting for the results of a reality show---the fam and I even ended up going to the tour last year.
Started out "for the chillen" but somehow the adult woman got into it too
at least I did not take a sign

Life? We have a life?
To: Guenevere
Let's face facts: Reuben is going to win; all the blacks will ban togetther and now vote for Reuben, and the others will all vote for whoever they think is best.
If you don't believe me, check ANY high school homecoming "court" in the South.

I am sorry to see Kim go. Especially when the pressure is off, man, she can SANG!
But she will do well for herself.
Maybe she and Clay will fall in love and she will have his baby. Could happen.
To: Howlin
But the others can only vote for Clay now. I wonder what the demographics are for AI.

no prob on the he/she thing
I was chiding whoever made the mistake.
To: pbear8
Well, Clay managed to make the finals IN SPITE of thousands of people being denied the chance to vote. Go Clay!

Inside tidbit---Paula has her lip gloss applied 12 times during commercial breaks.

Yes, I did....believe it or not! I had gone to Mailboxes, Inc. and was coming back down the road I live on -- I saw all these TV trucks in the parking lot at the YMCA....and then I saw the American Idol banner, so I turned in! Only saw him from a distance and quite by accident. He has worked at that Y until he got involved with AI. In fact, my cousin's two sons have been in his groups for years. They call him "Gonzo." He goes to their church and my cousins say he is a fine guy. They did cut out ALL of the part where Clay went to the State Capital to meet the governor and sang in the rotunda to HUNDREDS of shocked kids who were there just to visit the legislature, etc.

So what's it going to be like having two guys competing for this title?
It'll be different with the testosterone factor in play.
To: Howlin
I have to agree...but I hope you're wrong....we need all these young teenage girls to vote.
