Just a bump on this thread because the date is drawing near. Since I started this thread, we'd had another offer from a relative who wanted to relocate us to Florida. Unfortunately, the deal fell through midway through the move and we had to return to Massachusetts. So now we're back to "Plan A" and we'll be moving to Louisiana after all -- any new comments from folks in metro Alexandria? Thanks again!
