This thread is meant to be a single place to discuss all of the days talk and news shows.
Here's a direct streaming audio link for the IMUS in the Morning show followed by the G. Gordon Liddy show.WTNT AM 950

Oh dear...another religious murdering Texas Mom...and on Mother's Day.
Head bobbing, eye blinking, goober grinning Rick Sanchez is back on MSNBC...spare me this male version of Ashley Aggravating Banfield!
Yikes! Just flipped to CBS morning show...no surprise that Caroline Kennedy goes even here to hype her book, but she had 3 men sitting beside her,one of them the former Georgia governor, King Rat Roy Barnes. Did she award him some kind of award, or what? I don't know, but I can easily imagine the Kennedy Center would want to salute him as some kind of political hero.
Margaret Carlson, hyping HER book on C-Span, y a w n...but she was smart enough to include "Bush" in her subtitle. A caller asks "whatever happened to Al Gore?" She says, "Al Gore decided he'd been there, done that, stood down from ever running again, and people say he's happier than he's ever been."
Carlson says 69% of Democrats don't know who's running for president.
I haven't seen the re-union segment yet, either. I haven't really watched any of the previous Survivor series--I've usually been playing Nintendo while the wife been's watching the shows alongside of me--but for some reason this season's show captured my attention. I, too, thought Matt should have walked away with the $1,000,000 and was even more surprised to learn Jenna received all but one vote. My admittedly callous thought was that she won due to getting the "sympathy" vote because of her mother's medical condition. I doubt I'd go so far as calling it a scandal, though.
Re: my tag line, I'm a software engineer...specifically, designing and programming for embedded systems.
That's the only possible scenario I could seen her winning.
Incidentally, I'm a software engineer doing mostly Visual C++ programming on Windows 2000 systems. Small world isn't it.
The other option I considered is the jury was simply impressed that a "swimsuit model" managed to make it to the final two, combined with her winning the last two immunity challenges. I admit I was surprised to see her win those last two challenges (we knew Matt was going to throw the last one but still...). I'd still like to hear why Christy voted for her, though.
Small world isn't it.
Indeed. :)
