In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....
Do you have a word you'd like to see used? Freepmail me, and if it has not been used in a while, I will add it to our list.
Do you have a birthday coming up? Please FReepmail me with the date and I will make a special birthday thread for you!

Been an insomniac all of my life. There are way too many interesting things happening for me to sleep.
This is some kind of genetic trait. Most of my family has it, too. I will take a little snooze when Cyber is off to work and the 'bot is off to school. I think I worry about them getting up on time. Once they've got their shirts tucked in and are ready to go, I feel a lot better.
Then I have to peruse the Sports section and the Financial Section of the newspaper. I get all of the Front Page stuff here.

I dress rehearsaled the green sparklies. They were supposed to go alllllllll the way across the top and bottom. So much for my HTML skills.

Plural is cacti. I still make the mistake of saying "cactuses," though. It just comes naturally.
Those darned pesky Greeks really blew it for us in the plural department.
