Why do I get this question about killin' bumbledbees?
(We get bunchs of carpenter bees up here, so I'll address how I kill them, but seems something like this will work....)
Get a bug spray can that can fit the tiny WD-40 type lube spray lubrication extension "pipes" in the spray dispenser.
Into the carpenter bee "nest" (drilled hole in your wood siding or exposed wood) stick the extension, and give it a fast firm squirt to get the most bang for your efforts. You need the extension to aim the spray down the hole to be effective, else it only gets the outside wet.
(Why am I thinking of hobby and xsex while describing your bees getttin' squirted?????)
The bees inside their nest (bumblebees on the ground, carpenter bees in the wood) can't turn around and fly out quickly, and they die pretty quick, so you can get them without too much danger.
For slow flying bees, clear the kids and doogs out of the area so you can squirt freely. Get a regular can of wasp and hornet spray (th ekind that shoot 15-25 feet) and squirt them as the fly around.

You were the one who posted the link of the wagging. Wagging dance? Bees? High school biology class? Man against beast, that whole testosterone fest? ;)
