He knows that. He just seems to enjoy generating controversy so he can come in as the intellectual giant in his own mind, with all the answers (approved by the NAACP of course).

I'm still waiting to see if he will get into a battle of wits with Polybius, on the Georgia flag thread. I think it unlikely though, since he would obviously be out of his league.
