I John 5
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

I have a prayer request. A co-workers daughter and son were is a serious car accident on the morning of May 2.

The 18 yo daughter is named Jennifer. She has fewer injuries but the most severe. The report that I received today was that her spinal cord was severed from her brain stem. Now, it does not seem medically possible that she should still be alive. The initial report is that her APGAR* score was a 5 initially, and then rose to a 8(out of a possible score of 0-15). She is obviously in a coma. The doctors has concluded that she has limited movement on her right side and the left side appears to be doing better than the other side.
*Apgar is a scoring system for individuals that have had brain injuries including stroke and they also use this on newborn babies.
David is 15 yo. The other car actually hit on his side of their car. We were orginally told that he had a few lacerations and a couple of broken bones but they expected a full recovery.
Today they reported that a doctor and a dentist worked on his face? for about 3 hours. I don't know if this involved surgery or not. He is scheduled for hip/spine surgery on Sunday morning. They was some confusing information about a problem with his kidneys, so just lift up those kidneys in prayer, don't know any more.

I will give you another update as soon as I know more.

PRAISE GOD have an update on Jennifer and her brother.

Jennifer has come out of the coma and has full movement and sensation on both sides. In fact she has been trying to pull all the tubes out of her nose and throat etc. So they are currently sedating her so she won't be yanking on tubes. They have concluded that she didn't severe the spinal cord, but that it has been traumatized.

Her brother whom I orginally though was a David is named Nathan. He is currently having trouble getting oxygen into his blood. He has broken ribs and a broken sternum. They don't know why his lungs are not able to get oxygen into his system. They postponed his surgery until Tuesday because of the oxygen problem. The surgery is suppose to involve the hip/ball of the femur area.

Thank you for all of your prayers.

I'm going to the hospital later so I should be able to get first hand info tonight.
