I heard yesterday on some Fox show interview with a Mike somebody in the Dallas area, he said that the Dixie Chicks were going to have a concert in NC, and there was going to be a Rally for the troops concert the same night, with the Marshall Tucker band. That people who had the Chicks tickets could use them to get into the Troop Rally. I thought that was so funny.

Sorry folks my memory of people is not so good. Maybe someone else heard this and can tell you the Fox show and who that Mike is.

I didn't see the Fox News interview, but you are probably referring to talk show host, Mike Gallagher. The concert is actually, I believe, in Greenville, SC on the same night as the Dixie Chicks opening concert on their U.S. tour. Ought to be a great night to go see the Marshall Tucker Band for those in the area. I wouldn't give $.02 to see the Dixie Chicks!

It's Mike Gallagher who is having the "counter" concert in Spartanburg South Carolina.

The purpose of the concert is to raise money for the families of our troops... and anybody can help, no matter where they live.

A lot of his listeners -- even if they aren't in the area -- are buying tickets to help raise money, and sending their tickets in to be given to troop families who can attend.

Unfortunately, he doesn't say a lot about the concert on his website... although he talks about it a lot on his show and he is very excited about how good it is going to be and how much money they are going to be able to raise for the families.
