KEYWORDS:
Both are fabricated in order to forward a particular leftist agenda. Neither has any basis in fact. Both have interests groups that will attack anyone who challenges their position.

Hmmm, I'd say gay people are real and global warming is a theory.

Gay RIGHTS are not soley premised on the gay GENE. I responded to the title AND the content. Global warming is a much more theoretical concept.

You also read before you scold.

The Gay Gene hoax, and the Global warming Hoax, are the very foundation, of the latest agendas of the U.N., and that says it all!

Gay people are real? Real sick. Really in need of some psychiatric help. They have some crossed wires and the saddest part is that they are now being told it is OK to have your wires crossed. Don't fix it, just keep on running amok.

I have to confess, I was being a bit too "cute" about it, but the facts are straight. (pun?)

I am just getting sick of all the BS going on with the homosexual agenda. It is part-n-parcel of the whole plan to destruct America's moral fiber.

Look at my post as an intro from Paloma_55. I drew out some of the homo activists. Now I have a better idea who is who.

What are they premised on?

If you are not BORN gay, then it is a choice. If it is a choice, then it is subject to societal discretion.

I don't think that we should make it illegal for two guys to "love" each other, however, I also don't think that society should condone them having sexual relations. Also, if a state wants to make certain sexual acts illegal, I could care less. I don't think the federal government should be restricting them from doing so.

The funniest thing about this Santorum bout is how the homos are getting all upset about being compared to incesters and polygamists.... Why? Are those immoral??? If a 21 year old guy does it with his mama, they are both consenting adults. How does the government have a role in that? Funny that a homo finds bung-holing another guy OK, but the thought of doing mama makes him feel all creepy... its immoral!!!

Who defines morality?

Why does morality exist?

Should we legislate morality?

These are questions that should be debated in an honest way, but are not. Whenever anyone tries to broach such a debate, the homo activists will start screaming "bigot" and try to shut it down because they know.. they are on the WRONG side of the equation.

"Should we legislate morality?"

That is the real question. Of course, to some, degree, almost everything we legislate IS morality. But, we also value freedom of religion, do we not?

I mean, wasn't this country founded on getting away from a state-imposed religion?

So, while I think morality is very important, I don't think it should trump freedom, unless someone is harmed.

Now, am I harmed when two guys get it on in private? The only real answer is no... I'm not affected in the least.

So, anything that a couple of people can do in private is none of my business, and none the govt's business, as long as no one is getting hurt.

Our nation is not a theocracy, we are not ancient Israel, nor are we the Taliban. Our govt should be smaller, not bigger. Less intrusive, not more intrusive.

Traditional values continue to lose ground, but making stupid laws won't stop that. Only sharing the love of Jesus, and spreading the gospel will change that, God willing.

Morality is not a "religious" issue, it is a social issue.

Years ago when I was an avowed agnostic, I still had moral values that included not stealing, not dating my friends girlfriends, not lying, etc...

I have ALWAYS been revolted by homosexuals. Anyone who can use a poop-chute for a playground is CLEARLY suffering from a mental problem.

As I have said though, I don't think we need laws to prevent it. We should simply rely upon social disdain. The problem I have now with the "gay" agenda (nice word eh? almost makes it sound like a good thing) is that they are trying to FORCE people to accept them as normal. They are not. They have a mental problem.

The other thing that really irritates me about the gay activists is that they are flagrant liars. They say they don't want our kids but the simple fact is they PREY upon kids. No, not 8 year olds (some pedophiles do) but 16 year olds, 17 year olds and young adults. They try to get kids to accept their behavior as an acceptable alternative, then ply them with drugs (like some hetero pervs do) and get them to step over the line. Once a kid gets over that line, he is more likely to stay over the line, convince himself he was born that way, and justify his behavior rather than deal with the shame.

This is what I have seen happen in a number of cases. I have had totally hetero friends get pulled into the gay lifestyle during times of emotional duress by a "friend" or "mentor"
who saw the opportunity and took advantage of them.

Hmm, there is the slight problem of hetero couples who enjoy, ahm, adventuressnous. Are they suffering from mental problems, too?

That aside, how do you think we should show disdain? Counter-protests? I mean, we've been ostracizing them for millenia, and its not working...

I agree, they have no business speaking (proselytizing) at public schools, that's ridiculous. I think we can and will put an end to that, at least in most states.

But, its a free country, we can't really keep older teens from temptations of any stripe, we have to raise them as children to have a good head on their shoulders.

And for that matter, most gays aren't really trying to convert teens, and I see no need to be un-Christian to them any more that to any other sinners. Even those who sit on the same pew as I do.
