We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good Morning!!
The State Department is issuing a travel advisory for Ontario relating to the SARS virus.
California may run out of cash in a few weeks; their solution will be to pay vendors and others with IOUs.
Gay rights groups are upset that Sen. Santorum compared homosexuality to bigamy, polygamy, incest, and adultery.
And Hans Blix says the United States lacks credibility in its efforts to find Iraq's banned weaponry. He warned the UN Security Council that only the UN, not the US, could provide an objective assessment of anything found in Iraq. He further accused the United States and Britain in deliberately undermining his efforts before the war.
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who gave their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Speaking of words:
If you can do something 'beforehand', why can't you do something 'afterhand'?
If you can have malice 'aforethought', can you have malice as an 'afterthought'??
Is there anything worse than people who describe EVERYTHING in life as a sports metaphor???
To: Bitwhacker
I think you have hit that one out of the ballpark baby!!!

Oh Pawpaw, you are in trouble! Just saw your post to me on yesterday's thread. Eating on the couch and spilling your water?? You better bribe gd to keep her quiet. :)
Nita, how can you choose between those dogs? They all look so sweet. Our best dogs have been someone else's throw aways.

Hi, all! I had to go to the doctor, where I was thrilled to learn that my blood pressure is higher than in December. Now I get to take two different pills and go back in two weeks.
I am not a happy camper.

THAT is too funny Mozie!!!
Could the BP increase be due to stress from the events with your daughter?

Good morning, Mr. Chairman, ATRW.
Been away for a bit -- starting to get proofs in on my Taft book, and that goes 24/7. Meanwhile, just wanted to give you folks a heads up that I have an appearance on The Learning Channel tonight. The show is "Armored Cars," and it airs 8:00pm EST.
I haven't seen it yet, and as I don't have cable I'm not sure I'll be able to see it tonight. I hope I'm not too ridiculous. Look for the bald guy freezing on Park Ave in NYC in an outdoor , mid-January 11 degree freeze, talking about the President's new limousine.
They called me at the last minute, and I gave them the little I know on it.
Best to all!

Should we be lugubriously loquacious about the dearth of dialogue these days??? Yes. :)

No, I am probably feeling the effects of too many years of martinis, smoking, and eating whatever I darn well pleased, coupled with some stress which I won't go into.
Part of this is also hereditary...my dad had high blood pressure and so does one of my sisters.
I have to get it down and so I am embarking on a low-sodium, low-calories diet and also sttarting a walking routine.

It is time to start a war on the Republacracts. We need to COMPLAIN to them, to their home papers, to the WH, to Sen Frist. True, when you send something to their office their office 'help' won't let them see it unless it is telling them how good their boss is. Thats the first one.
Second, The givers, givers, givers (democracts) are going to the gimmies, gimmies, gimmies and attempting to buy their voat with the give away programs. I see we are on the ole national health care kick again, the gimmies will love this one, again. AND, they want to take away our tax cuts to pay for it, never seen a tax dollar they could not spend.
There has got to be some reason in this ole nation, honest.

I think there is only one real root cause for your HBP: Indiana...;-)

I have to get it down and so I am embarking on a low-sodium, low-calories diet and also sttarting a walking routine. Good plan, Janey. I, too, need to adopt your plan of action. I'm a little ashamed of myself....my father takes no medication at age 78 1/2. The doctor was thrilled! While I am on BP meds and thyroid meds... go figure!
To: Miss Marple
SARS, something for us to worry about for sure. Here is one hint, keep some bleech by you sinks, a small cup full through the day and pout it down the drains. Doesn't take much. Just a note from Dr. Toby.

I have started on my walking routine again, eating light and doing lots of yard work. I gotta admit, I got lazy and blamed it on the cold weather we had (40's). Soon I start working on my farm, lots and lots to do up there.
