I duly concede nothing can beat Fred McGriff's ongoing quest to be the first player to hit a home run in 42 major-league ballparks.
It takes plenty of talent and a keen sense of self-importance to try so hard to become the answer to a trivia question.
But I'm afraid McGriff inadvertently has overshadowed my own quest to be the first sportswriter to eat junk food in every major-league park, an anti-Atkins odyssey that came to a conclusion last weekend at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.

I vote for Camden yards....but I'd love to visit the park in SF.

Camden Yards is one I liked best among the newer parks I really liked Wrigley and Fenway for the older parks.

****6. Dodger Stadium: Game's best view, especially when the hills are changing colors at sunset. Vin Scully's smooth voice can be heard on every car radio exiting the park during the seventh inning*****
LOL

****8. PNC Park: The steel bridge and the vastly underrated Pittsburgh skyline make this one of the most aesthetically pleasing retros. It looks like Pittsburgh, unlike nearby eyesore Heinz Field, a retro football stadium with yellow seats.****
I went to this stadium in July 2001 and I liked it...gave a nice small park feel...I liked the circular walk way about the left field foul pole. Thats a nice place to stand and watch the game. The little cafes were cute in the upper deck seats too.

Of all the parks we've been to, it's hard to pick a favorite. Especially with all the new parks and old parks combined.

****11. Bank One Ballpark: The BOB is usually at its best on 75-degree afternoon gamesor about twice a year. The swimming pool in right field has been ruined by the preening adults who inhabit it. Time to turn the pool over to the kids instead of the Botox crowd.****
YUCK!!!!!!!

Pac Bell is the lite beer version of Oriole Park. And they don't have Boog's bbq.
I took a tour of Oriole Park off season, it was pretty decent. They even let us play with the dugout phone. We could hear it ring out in the bullpen all the way across the field. We couldn't walk on the grass but I stole a few blades in put them in a 35mm film case..which I promptly lost somewhere. The baseball gods punished me.
I thought Miller Park was great. Oddly enough, the sausages were lousy. But the beer was awesome.

****26. Turner Field: Yogi Bear and other cartoon characters vie for kids' attention with Atlanta's Chipper Jones and Gary Sheffield, in a sad case of AOL Time Warner synergy run amok. Hey Yogi, watch the game.****
I agree with this review...Braves need new ownership that isn't going to be so corporate...something like what the Falcons have with Arthur Blank.

FENWAY PARK.....home of the BEST second place team in the WORLD!!!!!!

Turner Field is pretty fun. There's quite a bit to do before the game and parking is pretty easy.

A's and Giants fans like to talk about the dodgers fans leaving early. But if you get to the 7th inning and the A's or Giants are losign, 1/3 of the stadium leaves. So now they say dodger fans arrive late and leave early. whiners.
