Westy, what were you doing in a tent in Warren...that place is still on the backside of nowhere? Did they have tents when you were a wee one??This was back about 1931..My Dad and Uncle were stringing a phone line between Warren and a power plant on the S.Fork of the Salmon. We had a big ole wall tent that was moved every few days along the road to live in...Cooking over a camp fire, washing clothes in a tin tub that seconded as a bath tub....
Warren was sort of booming. There was a gold dredge working just out of town and I remember the town store. You could buy anything from a magazine to a pair of overalls and everything in between...
If you are near my age, what the heck are you doing traipsing around the world??? Get in that ole rocking chair...lol
.......Westy.....

I haven't visited Warren, but have friends in Boise who have a cabin there. Apparently it's turned into a weekend retreat for the Boise bunch, both winter and summer. Our friends spend more time at their cabin in the winter than they do in summer...accessable only by snowmobile. They're nuts about the place.
If you were chasin' bugs around the South Fork of the Salmon in 1931, you might have a few years on me. LOL! I have to get my little ranchito paid for before I can retire to a place to work. I'm the type if I don't have lots of physical stuff to do, I go potato(e).

My Dad's family is from Tacoma. My Uncle and some cousins still live there. So where do you live now?
And don't give me that rocking chair stuff! You've got too much energy for that....
