If you think this is silly, then you are just part of the problem.

I think some of it is overblown, preachy, pretentious, and yes, silly. Is my "part" of the problem reduced by some amount, or do I have as big a part as someone that thinks the whole thing is silly?

Sometimes you just have to ask these questions.
