Please support the Baseball Hall of Fame's President, Mr. Dale Petroskey, and his decision to cancel a 15th anniversary celebration of the film 'Bull Durham,' because of anti-war criticism by co-stars Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon.
Mr. Petroskey sent a letter to Robbins and Sarandon this week, telling them the festivities April 26-27 at Cooperstown, N.Y., had been called off.
The following is a portion of the letter Mr. Petroskey sent.
"In a free country such as ours, every American has the right to his or her own opinions, and to express them. Public figures, such as you, have platforms much larger than the average American's, which provides you an extraordinary opportunity to have your views heard -- and an equally large obligation to act and speak responsibly. We believe your very public criticism of President Bush at this important -- and sensitive -- time in our nation's history helps undermine the U.S. position, which ultimately could put our troops in even more danger. As an institution, we stand behind our President and our troops in this conflict."
There are now reports that Hollywood left-wingers are flooding the Hall of Fame with demands for Mr. Petroskey's head on a platter.
Please send Mr. Petroskey a message of support. He can be contacted as follows.

These people do all this to themselves! They hate, but then get upset when people dismiss them as hateful! Go figure. Speech is one thing, hate-filled, anti-American, mindless drivel is another.
Perhaps a cogent argument once or twice to go along w/ their drivel would be "refreshing." About as refreshing as sticking your head into a hot oven, but unprecedented nonetheless.
This just in: Peace-loving Americans just don't want to hear the Hollywood's leftist/marxist messages anymore! If the Hollywood left is so angry about this, perhaps they can put out some reasons as to the "oh so similar" things that they've facilitated in the past.
OK, ready, now everyone hold your breath...
