The NGC 281 complex is located in the northern constellation of Cassiopeia. Here are its stats:


Right Ascension: 0 : 52.8 (hours : minutes)
Declination: +56 : 37 (degrees : minutes)
Apparent Magnitude: 7. p
Apparent Diameter: 35. (arc minutes)

This nebula gained the whimsical nickname of "Pac-Man Nebula". I wonder why? ;-D

Thanks so much...and a special thanks for the star charts to locate these items. I'm moving to a dark sky area this month & can't wait to break out my 'scope!
