What hurts the most is how young they all are. And that is the case in every war, those who have barely begun to live their lives have sacrificed all for our freedom. My husband was badly injured in Vietnam at age 19, but at least went on to live his life. 58,000 did not from those many years there. And how many in World War II, Korea, etc? We owe them everything, and it truly is devastating to see them and consider the loss, but I am so glad Fox is honoring them.

Yes, how young.
Here I am, fat and happy at 45. These kids will never have the opportunity to see middle age. They have gone the way of all the Earth.
I have great faith in God's plan for the happiness of man, so I believe they are in a wonderful place.
Still, it hurts so much to see those faces. And to think of the pain their loved ones are feeling right now. Their lives are altered forever.

I think it is a wonderful thing to see who they are and realize what they have done. I have to 'make' myself watch it because I am a basket case afterwards. But it makes it more 'real' and adds a dimension that is needed. I can't express my gratitude and my prayers for those who they left behind.
