So there's two problems. The liberal argument is don't do anything about one problem because you have not done anything about the other problem. Your car has two flats. Don't fix the first flat because you haven't fixed the first. Two houses are on on fire, but there's only one fire engine. Don't put out the first fire because you are not putting out the second.

Thank you everybody for your response. I found this website the other day while looking for someplace that actually supports this war.
I have tried to argue the threat aspect as being the main reason for attacking Iraq and have been told that Saddam was not a threat, that he is too small. Does anybody else here live with somebody who is against this war? Trust me, it's not a picnic. I'm glad that I have someplace to talk about this with people who agree. I have done alot of reading about Saddam and what he is about. If he does not have the capabilities at this time to "hurt" the US, he most certainly will in the near future. He hates us with a passion and we have become his ultimate target. But I also feel as passionate about helping the Iraqi people. They cannot change the situation without help and after trying for so many years to change the situation by "diplomatic" means, there really was no other choice but to do it violently. If there is another country out there that has reached the same point, I would like to know. I just have not heard of any. Again, thank you.

There's more to this than that. The blackness of Haiti means we are somehow responsible for making them viable. But no sooner do we drive off one dictator, then they fall to another. We have done more than enough for that country. The interesting thing is, that the Haitian community in Florida is thriving right next to African-American communities living on welfare because the US is so 'racist.' IOW Haitian immigrants who are failures in their home country thrive under capitalism here, while our indigent black population can't because, well, they're black.
