Send your angels, we pray, to help those brave men rout out the forces of evil in that oppressed land. May the forces of Light overwhelm the forces of darkness that have held sway for so long in that place.

May the suffering and innocent finally breathe free in Your most blessed grace. Give strength, also, Dear God, to the families of these courageous knights who charge into battle, not to enrich themselves but to free others and at great risk to their own safety. There are many other stories about Basra from yesterday - will try to link most of them here.

Thank you for your prayers for this particular Iraqi city. The prayer work continues to be needed.

Pray today specifically for WATER TO BE RESTORED TO THIS CITY and for ORDER AND CALM TO BE RESTORED along with continued exposure of the Baath and Fedaheen (sp) Saddam loyalists for arrest and/or removal today!

Pray for continued shield of protection over the soldiers fighting in and around Basra - and around the supply and aid vehicles and ships now coming to this area. THIS SUPPLY LINE IS CRITICAL TO REACHING THE PEOPLE OF IRAQ AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THE ENEMY KNOWS IT AND IS DOING ALL IT CAN TO PREVENT THESE SHIPS AND/OR SUPPLY LINES FROM BEING SET UP SAFELY. Pray God's protection and empowerment of all those working to get supplies and water into Basra and the Southern part of Iraq - and further north.

And, there are many many stories about what has gone on and is going on in and around Baghdad. Will try to link those also - some of them.

Suggest we go back to the map above and pray for GOD'S HEAVENLY HOSTS TO BE THERE IN BASRA, IN BAGHDAD, DRIVING OUT THE NESTS OF DEMONIC FORCES WHICH HAVE INHABITED THESE LOCALES FOR SO LONG. HOLD UP THESE CITIES IN PRAYER AND ASK GOD TO FILL THEM WITH HIS POWER, WITH HIS HOLY SPIRIT (BECAUSE AFTER DEMONIC FORCES ARE DRIVEN OUT, THEY MUST BE REPLACED OR THEY WILL RETURN EVEN STRONGER THAN THEY WERE BEFORE).

Sorry for "shouting" - hoping everyone is tuned in today in intercessory prayer for GOD'S PRESENCE AND POWER AND LIGHT to come into these cities with HIS ANGELIC HOSTS AND CHARIOTS OF FIRE also present routing the forces of darkness and establishing residence in those locales where demons used to dwell. We can unite to pray that the forces of darkness being routed all over Iraq, especially in these "targeted (by prayer) locations of Basra and Baghdad - and soon we should add Tikit! - will be driven out and THAT GATES OF THESE CITIES BARRED BY THE HEAVENLY HOSTS so that they cannot return! Ask God to set up His Chariots of Fire at the entrances to each city preventing these routed forces of darkness from ever returning to re-establish residency there!

God is the Conquerer, HE is the One who asks our prayers in accordance with His will! And what is His will? HIs will is for the works of satan to be destroyed! (Jesus Christ came to destroy the works of the devil! That captives be set free! That the Holy Spirit of LIFE replace the demonic demons of death which have resided in these locales. That God's Heavenly Hosts come and dwell in those places and give no quarter to the enemy to return!

So, one of satan's thrones is being dismantled and his principalities being driven out. NO WONDER ALL THE FORCES OF DARKNESS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD ARE UNHAPPY AND SPEWING VENOM AGAINST THIS MIGHTY WORK!

It is a military battle for sure but it is also a spiritual battle and we must put on the full armor of God in order to be engaged in this battle - clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ and covered with HIS SHED BLOOD - and pray God's shield of protection around yourselves and your loved ones as you engage in such prayers:

This morning's reading from the Old Testament was amazing especially in light of the statue of Saddam being pulled down.

Reading I Dn 3:14-20, 91-92, 95

King Nebuchadnezzar said: "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you will not serve my god, or worship the golden statue that I set up? Be ready now to fall down and worship the statue I had made, whenever you hear the sound of the trumpet, flute, lyre, harp, psaltery, bagpipe, and all the other musical instruments; otherwise, you shall be instantly cast into the white-hot furnace; and who is the God who can deliver you out of my hands?"

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered King Nebuchadnezzar, "There is no need for us to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If our God, whom we serve, can save us from the white-hot furnace and from your hands, O king, may he save us! But even if he will not, know, O king, that we will not serve your god or worship the golden statue that you set up."

King Nebuchadnezzar's face became livid with utter rage against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace to be heated seven times more than usual and had some of the strongest men in his army bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and cast them into the white-hot furnace.

Nebuchadnezzar rose in haste and asked his nobles, "Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?" "Assuredly, O king," they answered. "But," he replied, "I see four men unfettered and unhurt, walking in the fire, and the fourth looks like a son of God." Nebuchadnezzar exclaimed, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who sent his angel to deliver the servants who trusted in him; they disobeyed the royal command and yielded their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God."

What a timely scripture passage for all we have observed these last several weeks! Thanks for posting it.

Well - things have happened this week at breathtaking pace. God surely is answering prayers! Especially for the safety of our fighting men and women and for the deliverance of the people of Iraq from the evil that has bound them so long. Also, there is no doubt that the "principalities and powers" of the demonic realm have been put to flight inside Basra, inside parts of Baghdad, and now in Tikrit ongoing at this moment. So many other battles raging outside of Iraq - the propaganda war primarily continues.

From here on out, my request will be for all of us to:

1. Put on the full armor of God every day (Eph. 6).

2. To pray for the entire nation of Iraq to be filled with the Heavenly Hosts who can keep routing the denizons of darkness AS WE PRAY. Let us ask God specifically to set his blazing Chariots of fire around the borders of Iraq to keep out the hordes of Islamic extremists who still want to do us harm and on the ports and border cities to help proper aid to get into Iraq.

3. Let's pray that God will cover that entire nation - and our nation - with His mighty wings of protection, covering us and them also with His protection so that whoever would do us / Iraq / our forces in Iraq harm would be confused, confounded, and defeated before any such attempts take place.

4. Of course continue to pray for the safety of our troops and of those now going to Iraq to handle the post war problems....which will be many. 5. PRAISE GOD FOR ALL HIS BLESSINGS! ALL HIS TREMENDOUS ANSWERS TO PRAYER! ALL HIS GOODNESS (UNDESERVED) TO US AND TO THOSE FOR WHOM WE PRAY! Thank Him for Jesus our Savior whose death and resurrection we will especially remember in the coming days. Thank HIM that He sent His Son into the world not to condemn the world but that through Him the world (individuals) might be saved through Jesus!

Ask God to show each of us how we should pray in the coming days for our world, our nation, Iraq, our loved ones. And then stay close TO HIS WORD AND ASK THAT HE FILL US WITH HIS SPIRIT in order to walk after His guidance and not by our own designs.

Thank you all for participating in this targeted prayer work. And it is work.

I am going to draw back now into a season of prayer for things around me and would covet any prayers you can direct my way any time. Thanks again for all your help and uniting with me in prayer.
