That was my thought as well. Beans don't make any sense. Someone said that they say some Foldgers or some other instant brand in a picture somewhere. I would think that would be the best, but of course, it's powdered.

I read or heard lately that the troops would like coffee, whether instant, powdered or freezedried.

I have been thinking about the No Powder restriction.
I bet a sealed powdered or ground coffee would be fine. I was given specific instructions that they wouldn't accept talc, foot powder, or kool aid.
If you would like a soldier's address for your items, I can give you one in Kuwait or on a ship.

Another day, another unfortunate fashion choice.

This jerky looks amazing!! I have never had tender jerky before, but this stuff looks great.

Crap. I bought some baby powder. Oh well, I need it for the kids anyway. =)
I was going to send the box to you, but if you can walk me through the forms, I'll send it from here and save you the money. What worries me is that they might not open the box if they don't know the name on the outside. Do you know the people that you are sending to personally? I can always ship it up to you and send a check your way too.

For some reason, all this talk about freeze-dried coffee reminds me of my grandma. She loved to dring Sanka. Yuck! =)
To: Aggie Mama
I don't think I've drunk freeze-dried since college, but sometimes it's better than nothing, I suppose, even Sanka (yuck).
A local bank is collecting stuff to send to troops this week, so I may just stop at the Wal-Mart down the street from the bank and pick up some things.

Go to the post office and pick up some customs forms.
Pick up a few, because you might make a mistake and have to start all over. You can put my name and address on the package, since we are known over there, it will get through. I can email you a copy of the letter that we send with our boxes.
You have to put every single item that is in your box on the form. You will label the box with the address that I provide, and then give the customs form to the postal clerk. They will stamp it and then put it in a plastic envelope and stick it on the box.
Mountaineer: Equate- The Walmart brand of Q tips, are $1.88. The Q Tip brand are $3.69. Those are the 500 count boxes. You can't tell the difference in quality.

Agreed - I may have had jerky twice in my entire existence and it sucked both times.
Maybe these guys are onto something...make them ship you a load of it.
Cheers.

What is happening is the site certificate for that BBQ place is expired. Everytime the graphic from that site is shown (refreshed) by your browser, you will get the security certificate error. Usually nothing will happen, it is the other website's problem (the BBQ place.)
