Embedded Journalists During The Clinton Administration
Files of the Free Republic ^ | March 27, 2003 | aas

I didn't hear the liberal journalists whining about "embedded" journalists during the impeachment wars, though there were dozens of them fighting with the Democrat party troops.

This is just an off-the-top-of-my-head list. It is by no means anywhere near the complete list.

TOPICS: Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS:
Many of these "embeds" are still with their original units in the Democrat war machine. ;-)

Embedded journalist had a different meaning back then. It meant that Hillary's arm was embedded up their ... well, you know... and working their mouths.

There was a time when we had posts that included the name of a journalist, it was listed thusly:

Peter Jennings (D, ABC)

From what I heard, we could probably count Eleanor Mondale among them.

General Dowd just pronounced the Iraq campaign a failure in her column today. As we all know from General Dowd's predictions of disaster in the Afghanistan campaign, her views must be taken seriously. Strangely enough, the 3d Infantry Division and 1st Marines haven't yet broken out the white flags, but I'm sure they will as soon as they get the word from Big Mo.

I do have documentation, you know - and I was being quite kind, to tell the truth.

One of the reasons I posted this was that I ran across a VHS tape from the week of the impeachment in the House. I had been monitoring SeeBS that week. The scale of the media manipulation was astounding, in retrospect.

One half-hour CBS segment had the bombing of Iraq, the Livingston scandal, and the impeachment run-up. I think we all were somewhat blinded by being in the midst of the forest during that time.

Many of the same crew are now whining about the "contamination" of the embeds. I know what they're REALLY getting at, because they were more stained than the blue dress.

I don't think Eleanor was front-line - she was more of a RECF. ;-)

Eleanor Mondale, now 37 years old, (yes, I know it’s hard to believe. I thought she was in her mid-20’s myself) was born in Minnesota and attended St. Lawrence University there. She started her career at Minneapolis' KSTP-TV, as cohost of the Good Company Show, then covered lifestyle and entertainment for WCCO-TV. She's also on the editorial advisory board for Women's Sports Traveler magazine. After 14 years as a reporter for shows like Rock and Roll Evening News and Great American TV Poll that fizzled, and go-nowhere guest shots on programs such as Three's Company and Dynasty. She first appeared on E! in August 1994 as host of Q & E!, a question-and-answer interview show produced by Brandon Tartikoff. From there, she cohosted E!'s coverage of the 1994 Academy Awards, the 1995 Golden Globes (with Joan Rivers) and a series of live movie premieres, including Star Trek: Generations. Eleanor’s most current jobs have led her to be an entertainment contributor on CBS News's This Morning, host a couple "Cyberlife" specials on the Discovery channel, as well as hosting the show "Later" on NBC, she has also appeared on the Howard Stern how, and has even hosted E!'s highly acclaimed comedy, "Talk Soup" for a short time. Eleanor has also had her very own shows including "E! Uncut", and the "Live From Studio E!". In addition to all that, Mondale has had the opportunity to tour the world’s hot spots with shows like "Sex on The Great Barrier Reef", "Sex on South Beach", and "Sex on the Jacues Lee’ses".

Now auditioning for sitcoms, Mondale has hired an acting coach. "I have more self-confidence than I did when I was in my 20s," she says. "There was a point when I almost gave up. I couldn't feed myself. I couldn't feed my pets." These days, Mondale lives with her well-fed dogs Marci and Fiona in her Hollywood Hills home. Unattached after two failed marriages (to former Chicago Bears tackle Keith Van Horne and disc jockey Greg "Thunder" Malban), she remains close with her dad, who is again practicing law after serving as U.S. Ambassador to Japan, and with mom Joan, a board member of many cultural institutions. "They're my biggest fans," Mondale says.

No hope there.

They're working with Marlee Matlin, but she signs that the outlook is pretty grim.

I heard a good one on the radio today. They were saying how Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, Martin Sheen, the Dixie Chicks are all saying they are being blacklisted.

The host of the radio show, made an excellent point.

They aren't being blacklisted, Americans are using there FREE WILL to not support people whose ideologies clash with our own.

The TRUE BLACKLISTING is done to those in Hollywood, who are AFRAID to even SAY they are Conservative. They KNOW they won't get work!!!

We all know its true too.

So the "blacklist" is alive and well, it is just being done to those who are Conservative, Independents, or Republicans.

:o)

Seems to me, there are a bunch of hypocrites livin in ole LA and Hollywierd.

It's been kind of funny watching the backlash they have caused by their words. It was a good lesson in being responsible for your words and your actions. Sometimes the lessons we learn in life, aren't always easy ... :o)
